30 Weeks is a long time for a class ...
The 30 Weeks of the program is actually broken into two phases:
Phase 1: Class Period - 6 Weeks
During this period you'll meet twice a week in the evenings to develop your story and learn and develop interview skills, research skills, recording skills, audio editing skills and more.
The outcome of this phase will be: a pilot or practice episode, draft scripts for your podcast season, and a production plan for your podcast season.
Phase 2: Mentorship and Production Period - 24 Weeks
This phase is focused on the production and post production of your podcast with continued support from your instructor and NYC CME staff.
During this period you will have remote check-in sessions every other week and optional labs to practice skills or get additional hands on support. You will also be assigned a podcasting professional as a mentor who you can reach out to for additional support.
The outcome of this phase will be: a complete season of your podcast plus a distribution and marketing plan for the podcast.
