This July we'll be looking at Video as Art. We will be screening Metropolis Unrestored, which was created by the new media artist collective Dream Video DivisionMetropolis Unrestored is the collective's reinterpretation of the influential classic Metropolis.

Join us July 26th at 6:00 PM for a screening of Metropolis Unrestored followed by a conversation with Dream Video Division members including co-founder David Jackson.

ABOUT DREAM VIDEO DIVISION

Dream Video Division specializes in experimental art and immersive reinterpretations of pop media. They operate in an "exquisite corpse" style where they segment a movie, edit the parts individually, and stitch them back together to find out what the group has created as a whole.

Their work has screened at the Overlook Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, The Toronto International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Fubar Glitch Art Festival, The Philadelphia Film Festival, and Coaxial.

 ABOUT THE CME CREATOR SHOWCASE

The NYC Center for Media Education (CME) Creator Showcase is a quarterly screening and conversation with creative content producers. The Showcase is intended to bring innovative voices to the CME community to connect, educate, and inspire. Hosted at the MNN 38th Street Screening Room, the Showcase will also be livestreamed for anyone to watch and learn.
